Tina lives in Hopedale, MA with her husband and son. Her son was diagnosed with autism in 2007 at the age of 19 months. She currently works part-time as a Project Manager at a technology company in Westborough, MA. Prior to having her son, Tina held various positions in the business community related to Project Management, Business Consulting and Call Center Management. Tina is active in the special needs community by serving as Secretary for the Hopedale Special Education Parents’ Advisory Council (SEPAC) and networking with other special needs parents. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Castleton State College in Vermont, as well as an MBA from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.
Alysia lives in Hopedale, MA with her husband and three sons. She is active in the special needs community through her volunteer work, specifically as the managing editor of the SPD Blogger Network, a website designed to connect parents of children with sensory processing disorder. She is also a member of the Hopedale special education parents advisory council (SEPAC). Her middle child was diagnosed with SPD at age 2 1/2 and with PDD-NOS at age 3 1/2. Her youngest was diagnosed with PDD-NOS a few months before his third birthday. She has written extensively about her children and their journey on her personal blog, and her work has been featured in The Boston Globe and Bay State Parenting magazine, as well as online sites such as Mamapedia, Massmoms.com, and The Thinking Person’s Guide to Autism. Before having children, Alysia was the director and academic manager of the Newton, MA Kaplan Test Preperation site and a member of the Vermont Legislature from 1998-2000. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and served on their board of trustees from 1999-2005.
